An investment of US$100 million by Intel Capital Connected Car Fund has been announced in support of the development of SanJet Technology Corp.’s next generation applications for wearable and vehicle devices. The devices will include gadgets that allow full-HD video, wide angle views and wireless features.
“SanJet is well-placed to capitalize on the growing demand for video consumption in and around vehicles with the technology advancements the company has made,” said Sudheer Kuppam, managing director of the Asia-Pacific region at Intel Capital. ”We are excited by their roadmap and the potential that they bring to high end smart monitoring devices,” he said in a statement.
Steve Liao, SanJet’s chairman and chief executive officer, said the funding from Intel Capital will provide the Hsinchu-based company with the resources to build on its record and bring forward new features and next generation applications.
