GetWireless, distributor of cellular-based hardware for M2M (machine-to-machine) communications, has partnered with VisTracks the developer of SnapTraq fleet tracking software to provide a turn-key fleet tracking solution also known as “Connected Car”.
The system uses an OBDII Modem connected to the CDMA (code division multiple access) network operated by Nex-Tech Wireless.
The SnapTraq solution powered by VisTracks provides complete up-to-the-minute data on vehicle or fleet activities in one centralized web-based interface as well as with mobile apps for both Apple and Android devices.
“We are pleased to partner with GetWireless and Nex-Tech Wireless to provide services to Nex-Tech Wireless’ business customers that were only available to large companies at high prices” says Abraham Levine VisTracks’ Chief Operating Officer. “Nex-Tech Wireless’ customers can now achieve the benefits from the Internet of Things and successfully compete with their larger competitors with an easy-to-use and cost-effective service.”
Established in 2001 and based in Minneapolis, GetWireless is a national value-added distributor of cellular product solutions. GetWireless specializes in products solutions and support for M2M communications utilizing equipment from industry-leading manufacturers.
VisTracks provides an asset monitoring portal, SnapTraq, that caters to businesses needing to track and receive alerts for moving assets such as trucks vans and trailers or more stationary assets such as farm or construction equipment. The service is hosted by VisTracks and no software is required on the customer’s computer except for a browser.
