Chicago-based HearHere Radio has just announced that its curated content discovery app, Rivet News Radio, will be available in Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles from 2015.
The company made the announcement at the Paris Motor Show last week.
Rivet News Radio, which features curated stories from Rivet, the Associated Press and other news outlets, will be available to stream in Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles via JLR’s InControl Apps audio system. Bosch Automotive Technology, which supplies the hardware for JLR’s infotainment system, selected Rivet as a preferred app.
As of this month, Jaguar F-type and XE sedans will offer integration with the app, and Rivet News Radio will be available for all JLR models in 2015.
“We bring smart, bite-sized information to listeners, and give listeners more access to headlines on-the-go,” said HearHere CEO John MacLeod. “From the start, we designed Rivet with drivers in mind, ensuring simple integration of our listeners’ personal news streams with hands-free infotainment units.”
The in-car Rivet app syncs with the driver’s smartphone app. The mobile version can be downloaded via the iTunes store or Google Play. Both are available for free, but the Android app is still in undergoing testing.
