Elektrobit has announced that its driver assistance system “EB Assist Electronic Horizon” has won Best Safety or ADAS solution at the TU-Automotive Detroit 2015 conference and exhibition held earlier this month – the second consecutive year the Elektrobit driver assistance technology has won this prestigious award.
EB Assist Electronic Horizon provides accurate street map and topographical data for predictive driver assistance features such as night vision, curve speed warning and traffic sign recognition or range determination for e-cars and automated driving functions.
“This award recognizes EB’s long-standing commitment to deliver the most innovative in-car driver assistance and safety systems for the automotive industry,” said Alexander Kocher, president of EB’s Automotive Business Segment. “Through electronic horizon-based driver assistance features, carmakers strengthen their position in delivering safety and comfort, while securing their way to automated driving. We are thrilled to be recognized for our efforts to further industry innovation in support of our partners and customers.”
Elektrobit is one of the few automotive companies that offer an electronic horizon software combining both navigation and driver assistance systems software and delivers amongst the most detailed road geometry data currently available on the market.
Elektrobit was also nominated for Best Connected Car System Integrator for the Audi Virtual Cockpit – a driver-focused digital instrument cluster that was built using EB GUIDE human-machine interface design software to be highly intuitive to use and enable the best possible user experience.
